Záve, the ZêzereArts resident professional vocal ensemble, consists of 8 to 16 singers who contribute to the ZêzereArts Festival in a number of important ways, including performing, coaching and teaching. Over recent years, Záve has established itself as a quality ensemble, and now looks forward to an exciting future both within and beyond our annual summer festival.

The majority of Záve’s singers began their association with the group as students at ZêzereArts – some have been with us since the very first festival! Given that the ensemble is now such an established feature of the ZêzereArts Festival and is increasingly involved in performances throughout the year, we are now offering a formal probationer programme to give singers the opportunity to experience the way we work and to provide a possible pathway to later becoming a full member of the ensemble.

Up to eight probationer positions will be available each year, and interested singers are invited to apply using the form below. 

Probationers will attend the festival on a scholarship basis, paying for their accommodation and food.  They will sing with Záve and the ZêzereArts Festival Choir, and support the music staff in the smooth running of the choral week.
