This shorter programme is ideal for choral singers wishing to participate in the festival – rehearsing and performing as part of the Festival Chorus, and enjoying the atmosphere and sights of Tomar – but for whom a commitment of four singing days better suits their own travel or holiday plans.

Rehearsals will begin on the morning of Wednesday 23rd July 2025 preparing an exciting programme of classical to contemporary repertoire under the direction of Artistic Director Brian MacKay. The Festival Chorus will present two concert performances of this programme: at the Mosteiro da Batalha on Friday 25th and in the Convento de Cristo on Saturday 26th July 2025.

Based in Tomar, there will be daily warm-ups and full and sectional rehearsals. Throughout the four days, the Festival Chorus will be coached and supported by members of ZAVE, our resident professional vocal ensemble, who will also sing with you in both concerts.

You will also have opportunities to listen to, explore and enjoy different aspects of singing and performance, including access to all ZêzereArts Festival events.

For those seeking extra coaching or wishing to develop their vocal technique during the festival, we also offer individual singing lessons with a specialist vocal teacher.
